"Harley (our 8 month old Doberman) is able to stay in a sit or a down and there is a lot less jumping on people. Cyd helped teach Harley how to walk on a loose leash and stay in step with us. She keeps her stay when greeting people or dogs. and when people enter the house."

"Prior to Cyd’s classes, I never felt comfortable enough to walk our Goldendoodle Miles without my husband, but am now able to using her training methods. We learned so much in such a short period of time!"

"Benji started showing fear behaviors out-of-nowhere and was cowering and darting around on walks. He would freeze up and not want to move. He ran to avoid his harness when he saw us get it out.
I am a kindergarten teacher and Benji once LOVED coming to class with me. But he even started showing fear and barking and lunging at kids during and after the SIP, after not being around them for months. Our once easy going, fun loving pup was scared of everything and it was heartbreaking.
Cyd helped show us how to help him feel safe and confident again on walks as well as even how to help him feel ok around things like the vacuum cleaner!
Since our work with Cyd in SF, we moved to LA and the move sort of re-triggered his anxieties. Per her suggestion, we sought out the help of a Veterinary Behaviorist. The combination of his puppy prozac and Cyd's behavioral modifications has brought Benji back to the joyful dog he as before he started hiding in his fear!"

Angie is 2-3 years old golden retriever and is a rescue from Turkey. She started whining, barking and was clearly very stressed when we left the house. Neighbors complained and our landlord got involved. At first, we were concerned about the effectiveness of virtual sessions, but we are seeing great improvements! We have been busy with the holidays and have not been doing as much training on our end these past couple of months, but we are definitely making progress and feel very supported every step of the way. Cyd has been able to read her reactions and to help us understand her emotions and how to help and change them. She has been a great help!

Harley is an 8 month old Doberman who is a ball of energy. She pulled on leash, zig-zagged and jumped on everyone. We are seeing great results! Harley is able to stay in a sit or a down and there is a lot less jumping on people. Cyd helped teach Harley how to walk on a loose leash and stay in step with us. She keeps her stay when greeting people or dogs. and when people enter the house. She also helped my husband understand more about how using harsh methods would only make things worse and cause Harley to feel fear and intimidation. She showed Ben how her training was fast and worked and how to communicate better with Harley so she did what he asked. I would definitely recommend Cyd to anyone who needs dog training!

Theodora is a Chihuahua who shakes, darts around and tries to hide on walks. She hunches over and tries to find anywhere to disappear. She also starts lunging, barking and pulling. Cyd helped us understand that she was yelling to tell the other dogs, or people or things like bicycles to go away! She is saying "I need space and distance!" Cyd helped us learn how to help her feel more confident and safe on walks and how to get those needs met without all the drama. It is so nice to see Theodora calm and relaxed on walks, instead of nervous and afraid. She also listens better. Cyd is very encouraging and helped a lot. I've been able to take her more places and have more guests over. She even let's them pet her sometimes!

I have only known Cydni for a short period of time, though I have known of her for a couple of years or so now. We are on some of the same social media platforms for Dog Trainers/Walkers. Recently, I posted on one of the FB pages asking for advice about a couple of the dogs in my daycare groups that are having somewhat aggressive, clearly uncomfortable experiences. She and I met via Zoom and discussed several methods that might help, including Leslie McDevitt’s Pattern Games. Funnily enough, she had mentioned them to me previously and I bought one of McDevitt’s books and this session really helped me understand the effectiveness the games could have on unruly pups. I have now implemented some of these “pattern games” into my daycare program, all thanks to Cydni!
I also referred a client to her who has a five year old dog and a toddler in the house. Cyd has held the consultation phone call and they will be meeting in the new year.
Being a dog care business owner and a dog training student myself (Catch!), it is of paramount importance to understand and have options to help everyone stay safe, have a good time and to provide quality care. Cydni is a great resource and is very approachable in her explanation of and use of the skills and methods she knows. I love how responsive she is too. Cydni has so much knowledge and experience and she has a gift for breaking it down so that it is easy to understand. She is also ever curious and I know obtaining a MS degree is very important to her. I also have a Bachelor’s degree of Science, and I know both of us are excited to talk shop, once she is underway in her studies.

Emdash’s mom came to me because Emdash was showing anxiety & attention barking both in her walker’s car and when at home during mom’s Zoom meetings for work. After a short period of time, Emdash started relaxing and self-soothing during these previously challenging situations. Today, her mom says “She learned from the best! YOU!”
